BUT FIRST, you need to know HOW TO RUN THEM EFFECTIVELY!!! So I figured, why not learn from one of THE BEST, Miss Melanie Mitro (she is on track to be the #1 top coach 2015 and she is also a Bombshell Dynasty member like me and you), and find out how SHE personally keeps her clients engaged and focused on getting RESULTS!
You should all currently be in a challenge group or have just completed one. I expect every single one of my coaches to go through one of my challenge groups. This helps you to get an idea of what these groups are about. Each coach runs their groups slightly differently and that's part of the beauty. You get to make it your own! Take what you like from my groups, leave out what you don't, add in your own ideas and voice and cater it toward the people you attract.
There are a few things that are always the same in challenge groups and you'll be given the tools to be able to do them! All the assignments are already created for you! All you have to do is put them into your group each day and check in with your challengers!
A few key elements of a successful challenge group are:
- A pre-season week to prepare and get to know everyone
- Tracking progress with measurements and photos
- Goal-setting with your challengers
- Daily accountability posts from you, their coach!
- A safe, judgement free zone where they can feel comfortable
To make a challenge group, you select the option to "Create a Group" on Facebook. Then when you are setting it up you set the privacy to SECRET. This ensures that only the people who are in the group can see what is posted and can see that the group even exists. Since people are sharing personal information and photos it's a nice thing to set the privacy so restricted.
Then you (or whoever else you set as an administrator in the group) can add people in. I like to always have at least 1 "welcome" post in there so people know what the group is when they see the notification that they've been added.
Some coaches have set dates for their groups. For example... our team typically begins 2 challenges each month, and they fall on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month for congruency and flow, and so that we are all on the same schedule of when we begin our groups. This enables us to co-host and team up with one another for our challenges. This not only helps us stay organized, but always gives us a group to offer our customers without having them wait too long for a support group to help them get started. It's really up to you how you want to do it!
You need at least 3 people (in my opinion) to make a group. That ensures that no one feels lonely and that some conversations can flow. You set the tone though so make sure you are positive and excited and active with your challengers. If you don't have enough challengers for your own group at any time, you can always team up with another coach on our team and run your groups together! That way you can help each other and have more challengers to participate.
Feel free to use whatever coach groups you are in (like our Team Fit4mation and Royal Republic groups on Facebook) to look for a coach to team up with if you need to team up with someone to add to your group.
HOMEWORK: Your assignment today is to watch this video and write down two key things you took away from this video and that you are going to start doing in your OWN challenges! I have also added links to various Challenge Group assignments for you. You'll find my Team Fit4mation 30 day challenge and weekly customer emails here. Use these to make your own challenge group assignments! Remember, don't just copy ours exactly. Make it your own! Your challengers signed up with you for a reason, they like your voice and personality so tweak the assignments to make them fit YOU. :)
